1. The Glass Menagerie -11. Chandelier
The glass menagerie is a play with an accurate projection of my family. The sister of the protagonist Laura has an glass animal collection, but in the Greek version has a big chandelier. I consider the chandelier as a big reflection of family roles that hold the sensitive details.

2. Mirror -12. Holes in the street
A mirror portrayed what is in front it. I notice that the mirror creates a lighting reflection. When its rainy outside the holes in the street fulled with water and portrayed what is above it.

3.Greek tourist cards -13. Second hand objects
Greece is a country that gives emphasis to tourism. It is possible to found second hand Greek tourist cards in the center in Athens. When I went to big market I found some patches that have a similar design with both these cards.

4. Cross stitch -14. Text
Cross stitch is an app where you upload pictures and make them fabric patterns. The picture become letters, each letter have a different color. I thought the the empty space with colorful letters as a form of text, as if you put some letters the one near to other it create words.

5. Ways of Seeing -15. Memories
When I saw the first episode of Ways of Seeing I was fascinated with the contrast between the original painting and the reproduction. The original is steady and soundless when the reproduction can be focus in the details change that way the meaning of the image or it can be used with sound that also change the meaning. Sometimes I take videos of place I had visited, I notice that the sound or the conversation in the background change the meaning of the video and I remember them with the refixed meaning..
My classmates perspective of my work
6. Disney songs -16. A Series of Unfortunate Events
I enjoy to listen Disney songs where is one melody and repeated the sentences over and over again. A Series of Unfortunate Events is a book series which started in the same way in every book. These repeatedly sentences reminds me the way I think.

7. Red shoes -17. Suspuria
Both of these movies portrayed a young woman that want be become a dancer. However, non of them succeed that. I consider that both of them portrayed the goal of the protagonists as a unfortunate story, but why a woman that want to do something have to be an unfortunate story with a fairy-tale aesthetic? Are their dreams a fairy tale?

Alexander Iolas was a rich gallerist that grow up in Greece and he used to lover her. He promoted Greek artist not because he liked them but because they were Greek. When he return to Greece he received hate for his lifestyle and his sexuality and when he speak negatively about the artists that he created Greek society started to hate him. How he can speak negatively about the smart Greek artist? When he died people destroyed his house.

9. Working apartment buildings -19. Marshmallow
I used to live near to a working apartment building that it looks so soft. I believe that if I touch it that is so soft and easy to broke like a marshmallow.

10. Bild Lilli -20. Betty Boop
Both of them are characters that was made to satisfied adult men. However they become loved by younger girls because of their fashion and aesthetics.
When I was in Greece I used to live to the working apartments building. These buildings were created after WWII and the Civil War to offer houses for the working class. A significant number of people view them as a quite ugly metropolis. As a kid I never consider them as ugly. Actually growing up in these buildings I started to observe my neighborhood as my place of my fairy tale. I started to feel as a Disney princess in her nature environment. One day I was returning to my house here and I found one soft glitter house. This house reminds me one building in my neighborhood that I always thinking that is so soft and easy to be broke. It was like a play-doh, or marshmallow. So I decided to portrayed this connection by breaking the glitter house and draw in the mirror, under the glitter house the soft building.
I decided to create my timeline on the mirror as I thought that it will be really interested to use the qualities of the mirror with the other connections.
After painted and placed the half connections I decided to not continue painting on the mirror and use the mirror to reflect the other connections. I place my laptop above it and I play videos of the others connections.
Before I started this timeline I started to note down my connections. I was not satisfied with all of them. I had done some research of historical events and paintings, but I decided to make some more personal connections. For the reason that some of them was hard to connected to something or someone before me had make a connection. My first connection was about a play I saw with my brother that portrayed the toxic family roles in my family. We didn't know that the play was about that so both of us was shock and cried at the most scenes. The sister of the protagonist Laura had a glass collection that she observe it when she was overwhelmed. This collection was the only thing she has from her father. In the second house I lived in Greece I had a chandelier. I relate to Laura because I also observe objects when I am overwhelmed. I had also paint this chandelier before.
The first thing I paint was the chandelier.
After seeing Betty Boop cartoons and read the Bild Lilli stories I started to feel conflicted about the way they are portrayed, so I write my thoughts.
I decided to use the Cross Stitch to separate my mirror to letters and colors. I notice that some parts of the picture have less letters than the others or more than the others. I was thinking to do something with out for example to avoid using certain letters and see how the picture will be finished. However, I didn't found a good concept to do that.
NEXT
I wrote down the lyrics of ''Oh, Sing Sweet Nightingale'' by Cinderella in a large paper until the paper become full of lyrics. After I use the paper as a background for the final video to place sentences of The Series of Unfortunate Events above.
